Spam Policy
We do not send spam!
If you have received unwanted email — particularly “spam” email — claiming to be from one of our user accounts, please examine the email “headers” to determine the true source of the email. You will find that it is NOT from us. Stateline Makerspace does not tolerate “spam” (sometimes referred to as “unsolicited commercial email”, UCE, or “unsolicited bulk email”, UBE). We take the spam problem very seriously.
Please be assured that (1) any spam email you receive did NOT originate from Stateline Makerspace, and (2) we have taken significant steps to secure our servers to keep spam from originating from — or being routed through — our site.
Obviously, we have NO control over the mail systems of OTHER internet sites. An unscrupulous person could send mail CLAIMING to be from our site but actually originating elsewhere, and we can’t do anything about it any more than we can prevent someone making phone calls from a pay phone in another city and claiming to be us — or Bill Gates, or the King of England, for that matter.
We ignore incoming spam!
Due to the absolutely ridiculous volume of “spam” (that is, unsolicited commercial email, UCE, or unsolicited bulk email, UBE) that we receive on a daily basis, we have configured our email system to automatically REFUSE, IGNORE and/or DELETE email from certain senders or containing certain text or attachments.
We do not wish to ignore our legitimate contacts. But we have absolutely no interest in porn, male physical enhancement, get-rich-quick-schemes, golf balls, printer ink or toner or other discounted office supplies, sweepstakes, contests, cookie recipes, questionable pharmaceuticals, etc. And no, we don’t want to see your webcam!
If you are unfortunate enough to be sending email from one of these domains, we strongly urge you to find another email provider. If you choose to send us email from one of these domains, please be advised that we will not see it! You will also most likely not receive any “bounce-back” or other notice from us. In other words: we won’t see your email, and you won’t even know it!
If you are a legitimate contact, such as a member, friend, relative or business acquaintance, or anyone else with a legitimate reason to contact us, and have not heard from us within two business days, please email us from a different email provider. This might keep your email from being automatically refused, ignored and/or deleted. Or, better yet, use our online mail form.
If you’re trying to sell us something, we’re not interested. Go away!
We sincerely apologize for any difficulties this may cause for our legitimate contacts. Please do your part to help eliminate spam!
